The history of the Trials goes back over 900 years, even being mentioned in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales - it's a unique event in the world and great fun to be involved with. There is no limit on age or experience, all help is welcome! We are always looking for people who love the tradition of the Flitch Trials and can give a small amount of time to help keep our wonderful tradition going - please get in touch for more details. Every 4 years, the cost and complexity of putting on the Flitch Trials increases. With your support, we can increase the network of people interested in preserving the custom and developing the event to ensure the Flitch Trials continues to be a mainstay on the town's event calendar. To register as a Friend, please download and print the Friend's Application Form and return your completed form (detailed instructions are printed on the form). › Become a SponsorThe Flitch Trials are organised by a team of volunteers and we rely entirely on sponsorship and advertising in our programme for funds to stage this event. Any surplus is distributed to local charities and organizations after each event. If you would like to sponsor a particular aspect of the Trials, or just give a cash donation, please contact us. |
