The Dunmow Flitch Song

On the Day
There were 3 separate Trials which started at 10.30am, 2pm & 7pm. Tickets were priced at £5, £10, £13 & £16.
The Flitch Procession before each Trial started from outside The Saracen's Head on the High Street and travelled along Stortford Road to the marquee on Talberds Ley. At the end of each Trial, the procession left the marquee and proceeded to Market Place, where the oath- taking ceremony took place.
Entertainment and stalls on the day included: Austin 7 Club, Morgan Club, Morris Men, Clog Dancers, Dunmow Majorettes, St. Mary's Steel Band, Dunmow Karate Club, Punch & Judy, Dunmow Arts Centre, local produce, pony rides, model boats, and the Essex Guild of Craftsmen held a craft fair in the Foakes Hall.
